Ran an Event
Organized a one-day event of 30+ attendees, fundraiser, tournament, class activity, community gathering, start to finish.
The idea
An event of thirty is a logistics test: venue, timing, supplies, communications, run-of-show. Have your kid build the timeline before the day: who does what when. Most events fail not because the idea was bad but because nobody planned the boring middle hour, where people are between things and don't know what's next. Plan the boring middle and the rest mostly takes care of itself.
Steps
- Pick venue, date, headline activity 4+ weeks out.
- Build a minute-by-minute run-of-show.
- Recruit help. Don't run it solo.
- Execute. Adjust on the day, stick to the plan.
What counts
A 30+ attendee event executed start to finish. A photo of the event in progress is plenty.
