Made the Call

Faced a real decision where the group disagreed, listened to everyone, made the decision yourself, and the group went with it.

The idea

The hard part of deciding isn't being right. It's owning the call when it's not unanimous. Have your kid listen to every voice first, repeat back what they heard, then state the call out loud and own it. If they hedge, the group hedges. If they commit, the group commits. The voice in the call carries the room. Wobbly voice, wobbly group.

Steps
  1. Identify a real decision the group disagrees on.
  2. Listen to every voice. Repeat back what you heard.
  3. Make the call out loud. Own it.
  4. Move forward. Don't relitigate.
What counts

A real call made on a contested decision, accepted by the group. A short writeup is plenty.
