Led an Event of 100

Led an event with 100+ attendees, registration, venue, program, staff, with clear responsibilities delegated and no catastrophic failures.

The idea

A hundred people is too many to manage personally. Your kid has to delegate. Assign team leads and check in with the leads, not the volunteers. The shift from doing the work to managing the people doing the work is the actual milestone, and most adults never figure it out. They scale by working more hours. Your kid learns at thirteen that scaling means letting go.

Steps
  1. Build the team. Assign team leads with clear ownership.
  2. Build the registration system.
  3. Check in weekly with leads, not volunteers.
  4. Execute. Stay calm during hiccups.
What counts

A 100+ attendee event executed without catastrophic failure, with delegated leads. A photo and attendance count are plenty.
