Chaired a Group
Led a standing committee, club, or working group through at least 3 months of meetings toward a defined goal, with documented outcomes.
The idea
Chairing a standing committee is about pacing. Three months of meetings with the same people means designing each one to move the work forward, not just to convene. Have your kid open every meeting with the last decision and the next deliverable. Without that thread, committees drift into talking-clubs. The kid who keeps the thread tight is the chair people will follow to the next committee.
Steps
- Set the cadence and stick to it.
- Open every meeting with the last decision and next deliverable.
- Document outcomes. Share after each meeting.
- Hit the 3-month goal.
What counts
A standing committee chaired 3+ months toward a documented outcome. The meeting notes and final result are plenty.
