Contract Signed
Signed a written contract with a customer, supplier, or partner that you negotiated yourself, with an adult reviewing the terms.
The idea
Read the contract out loud. Not silently. Out loud. Most adults sign things they've skimmed and regret it in month four when the renewal kicks in. Have your kid mark three things they'd want changed before agreeing. Maybe they accept the original terms anyway. The act of reviewing changes how they sign every contract for the rest of their life.
Steps
- Read the contract out loud. Every clause.
- Mark three things to push back on, even small ones.
- Have an adult review the final terms.
- Sign in person if possible. Signatures should feel real.
What counts
A signed contract your kid negotiated, with an adult reviewing the terms. A photo of the signature page is plenty.
