Bookkeeper

Kept clean books for your business for 6 straight months, every sale, every expense, reconcilable to your bank account.

The idea

Six straight months of bookkeeping is the part of business nobody mentions and everyone underestimates. The point is the habit, not the spreadsheet. Pick the boring tool your kid will actually open every week, even when nothing happened. Most adults fall off in month two and then can't tell you what their business made last year. The kid who hits month six has a muscle for life.

Steps
  1. Pick the boring tool your kid will actually open weekly. Spreadsheet, app, ledger.
  2. Set a recurring time. Sunday night, ten minutes. Same time every week.
  3. Reconcile to bank or cash monthly. Books that don't reconcile are decorative.
  4. At month six, clean up the messiest category first.
What counts

Six months of weekly bookkeeping, reconcilable to a bank or cash position. A screenshot of the running ledger is plenty.
