Performed for People

Performed a piece live in front of at least 10 people who weren't family, open mic, school assembly, recital, reading, busking.

The idea

The shaking hands are part of it. Don't try to make them go away. Have your kid drill the first 30 seconds until those are automatic, so the nerves don't take down the opening. After 30 seconds the body settles and the rest of the piece runs on muscle memory. Most performers quit before they learn that. The kid who pushes through learns the body always settles.

Steps
  1. Drill the first 30 seconds until automatic.
  2. Watch a recording of yourself before performing live.
  3. Perform for 10+ non-family people. No apology at the start.
  4. Talk to one audience member after.
What counts

A live performance for 10+ non-family people who watched it through. A photo or short clip is plenty.
