Wrote a Real Letter
Wrote a real letter or email to an adult outside your family, a thank-you, an inquiry, a request, that received a reply.
The idea
Write it by hand. Say one specific thing nobody else would notice about the person. Address it, stamp it, walk it to the mailbox yourself. The point isn't the words. It's that you used the slowest, most expensive way to say them, and the person on the other end will feel it.
Steps
- Pick a real recipient with a specific reason.
- Reference something specific to them, not a generic opener.
- Send by mail or email.
- When they reply, save it.
What counts
A real letter to an adult outside the family that got a reply. The letter and reply are plenty.
