Spoke to a Big Room
Gave a talk, performance, or presentation to 100+ people and handled questions from the audience.
The idea
A hundred people changes the energy in the room. The audience is too big to read individually, so the talk has to be tight. Cut everything not essential. Drill the opening and closing until they're automatic, because that's what people remember and quote later. The Q&A is where the talk earns its weight. The kid who handles three questions well is the one the audience talks about afterward.
Steps
- Drill the opening and closing until automatic.
- Cut the talk to essentials.
- Deliver to 100+ people.
- Take three questions. Answer specifically.
What counts
A talk to 100+ people with Q&A handled. A room photo and short writeup is plenty.
