Rode 10 Miles

Rode a bike 10 miles in a single outing without quitting, on real terrain.

The idea

Ten miles isn't fitness. It's not stopping. Around mile six they'll want to quit. Pre-decide a snack stop at mile seven so the carrot is visible. Talk them through the middle. The first long ride teaches them endurance is a head game, not a leg game. The legs were always going to get tired. The mind decides whether you stop. They get to find that out themselves.

Steps
  1. Map the route in advance. Include real terrain.
  2. Pre-decide a snack and water stop at mile 6 or 7.
  3. Bring a flat kit and know how to use it.
  4. Finish without quitting. Walking the bike doesn't count.
What counts

A single 10-mile ride completed without quitting on real terrain. A finish photo or tracker screenshot is plenty.
