Did a Push-Up

Completed your first full push-up, chest to the ground, arms fully extended at the top, body in a straight line, witnessed by another person.

The idea

A real push-up is straight body, chest to ground, full extension. Most kids cheat with sagging hips or half range. Don't accept the cheat. One clean rep beats ten ugly. The form carries to everything else they'll ever lift. Sloppy reps build sloppy habits and a body that can't be loaded heavier safely. Hold the standard now or pay for it later under a bench bar.

Steps
  1. Body straight, head to heels. Drop to knees if hips sag.
  2. Chest to floor every rep. Half-range doesn't count.
  3. Practice clean singles before going for multiples.
  4. Witness the first clean rep.
What counts

One full push-up, chest to ground, straight body, witnessed. A short clip is plenty.
