Did a Pull-Up
Completed your first unassisted full pull-up, witnessed by another person.
The idea
Pull-ups don't come from pull-ups. They come from negatives: jump up to the top, lower slowly, repeat. Five reps a day, every day, no skipping. Strength comes from frequency, not one brutal session. Most kids try to grind their first pull-up with maximum effort and burn out by day four. The slow daily reps are what gets there in three months.
Steps
- Start with negatives. Jump to the top, lower slowly. Five reps a day.
- Add dead hangs. Top and bottom. Build grip.
- Try a full rep once a week. Don't grind.
- Witness the first clean rep. Document.
What counts
One full unassisted pull-up, chin over the bar, witnessed. A short clip is plenty.
