Wrote Your First Prompt

Used AI to do something useful.

The idea

Don't accept the first answer. The model gets better when you push back, ask follow-ups, refine what you actually wanted. Have your kid treat the first response as a starting draft, not a final answer. The skill is the second prompt, not the first. Most adults never get past turn one and then complain AI didn't give them what they wanted. The second prompt is the whole skill.

Steps
  1. Pick a real task. Not a test prompt.
  2. Send the first prompt. Read the response carefully.
  3. Send a follow-up that improves it. Then another.
  4. End with output your kid actually uses.
What counts

A real task completed via AI with at least three turns of refinement. A screenshot of the final output and use is plenty.
