AI Tutor
Used AI to teach yourself a genuinely hard skill from zero (language, instrument, math domain) and passed a standardized proficiency test in it.
The idea
Self-teaching with AI works only when there's a real test at the end. Pick the proficiency exam first, then reverse-engineer what to learn. AI is great at filling specific gaps but bad at designing curricula. The structure has to come from the external test. Without it, learning drifts and the kid quits in month two. With it, the AI becomes the tutor it was supposed to be.
Steps
- Pick the skill and proficiency test first.
- Use AI to map what to learn in what order.
- Practice daily.
- Take the test. Pass it.
What counts
A passed proficiency test in a skill self-taught with AI. The test result is plenty.
